Hooded Horse and Limbic Entertainment – the creative team behind Tropico 6 – have officially revealed Corsair Cove. This upcoming pirate-themed city builder is scheduled to launch on PC platforms later this year.
The story begins during the sunset of the Golden Age of Piracy, as the Crown’s naval forces dominate the oceans. Following a shipwreck, players must build a sanctuary from scratch and assemble a fleet to challenge historical fate.
Innovation defines the construction system, allowing buildings to be placed on vertical cliffs and steep hills. This allows your settlement to expand across rocky walls, eventually turning a small camp into a formidable pirate stronghold.
Managing the economy involves long production chains for dozens of goods, ranging from basic clothing to advanced weaponry. Logistics are handled via bridges and cables to move essential resources across the island’s uneven and rugged terrain.

Keeping the crew satisfied is a constant challenge for any captain. While basic supplies work initially, veteran sailors will eventually demand luxury and comfort – otherwise, they might simply abandon the settlement and leave you behind.
The world extends far beyond the home island through maritime expeditions and raiding missions. These encounters feature turn-based naval combat where ship composition and specific tactics are the keys to achieving a successful victory.
Explorers will also encounter legendary historical pirates and battle mythical sea monsters like the Kraken. Features such as fleet progression and diverse world events add significant depth to the high-seas adventure experience.
Corsair Cove will be available for PC users via the Epic Games Store, Steam, and the Microsoft Store. The developers have already confirmed a full Russian text translation for the game upon its upcoming release.
