Night City has officially reached its final form. Despite the ongoing enthusiasm from the community following the game’s fifth anniversary, CD Projekt Red has firmly reiterated that no further DLC or major expansions are in the pipeline for Cyberpunk 2077.
The studio addressed the situation directly on the official Cyberpunk 2077 X account. Responding to a fan’s plea for more adventures, the developers stated:
We have no plans for additional DLCs or expansions. If anything changes, we will inform you all!

While the digital streets may not be expanding, the franchise remains highly active in other sectors. Cyberpunk 2077 recently joined the libraries of Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Premium, and a 5th Anniversary Collector’s Set has been released for dedicated fans. Furthermore, Fortnite players recently saw a teaser for an upcoming collaboration with the IP.
The universe is also expanding into tabletop territory through a partnership with WeirdCo. A new card game is currently in development, featuring a roster of characters pulled from both the original video game and the acclaimed anime series, Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners.
Resources at CD Projekt Red have now shifted toward future frontiers. While a sequel – currently referred to as Cyberpunk 2 – is in the works with potential online multiplayer features, the primary focus remains on The Witcher 4 and the Witcher remake by Fool’s Theory. Interestingly, Keanu Reeves has mentioned he is open to returning as Johnny Silverhand, though his involvement in the next chapter is not yet confirmed.

Thanks! Cyberpunk is the best game!
