GSC Game World has dropped the official trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope – the first substantial story expansion for the acclaimed shooter. The release window targets summer 2026 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. A precise date remains unannounced.
The expansion’s narrative centers on the long-standing conflict between Duty and Freedom factions, dragging protagonist Skif toward a city described as something that “should not exist” – a location regarded as the very source of all evil within the Zone.
Two companions join Skif on this mission: Zulu from Duty and Mavka from Freedom. Together they push into uncharted territory, unraveling grim new secrets while facing dangers unlike anything the Zone has produced before.
