Activision is ending Call of Duty: Warzone support on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Following the conclusion of Black Ops 7 Season 6, the game will cease operating on these older systems.
To continue playing, users must upgrade to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. Only these current hardware platforms will remain supported after the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1.
The shutdown begins within weeks. On June 4, Warzone disappears from PlayStation 4 and Xbox One stores, preventing new downloads, and Activision will disable the in – game shop on June 25.
This transition was announced alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The new title is slated to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Modern Warfare 4 marks the franchise debut on Nintendo Switch 2. The release is part of a ten – year deal established between Microsoft and Nintendo during the Activision Blizzard acquisition.
Having debuted in 2013, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be nearly 13 years old by the time Warzone support officially concludes.
