ToggleBreath of Fire 2 Walkthrough: Guide
It is always interesting to play games using guides. Today, our article will be dedicated to the Breath of Fire 2 Walkthrough. Since it is impossible to fit a full guide into one article, we will, therefore, take a detailed look at the first chapter, Demon Souls. If you are interested in a full walkthrough, I recommend watching the Breath of Fire 2 Walkthrough on ign.
Breath of Fire 2 Walkthrough Prologue
Okay, let’s launch the legendary game! At the beginning, we see the Capcom logo, an image of a group of translators, and finally the title screen with the name of the game.
Let’s start a new game! Now we need to give a name to our main character. Let’s call him Ryu.
The first thing we see is a creepy eye peering out of the darkness, calling us to worship God and begging us to submit.
We watch black-and-white footage and see a small church with a little girl running out of it.
A certain Ganer starts calling us and wants to talk to us. After that, we will finally be able to control our character.
After we gain control over the main character, we can explore the chests of drawers in search of items, just like in the first part of the game.
Ganer is still waiting for us. It’s all very simple: just go down and listen to what he wants to tell you.
Based on the further dialogue, we understand that Gainer is our father and the little girl running out of the church is our sister Yua. Gainer gives us the task of finding his daughter. This is our first choice in the game. Answer “Sure!” to gain your father’s trust.
We can control Ryu again. Our goal is to find our escaped sister.
When we leave the building, we find ourselves in a village and see locals, from whom we learn a little backstory about this area. We learn that several years ago the village was attacked by monsters, and a certain dragon saved everyone, and now he sleeps in the mountains behind the village.
During the dialogue with the NPC, we learn that the protagonist lost his mother 3 years ago. The NPC also states that we are a great example for our little sister. During this dialogue, a small gem above the text box called the Dragon Tear, turns green, indicating that the NPC’s feelings for Ryu have become more positive. This gem reacts to the attitude towards the protagonist by changing color.
We ask the NPC where our sister is, to which we receive an answer.
We also receive a warning that robberies at churches have become more frequent and that our father needs to exercise maximum vigilance and caution.
Now, to progress further in the story, you need to get to the back of the village. You will see a shaking bush that you can cut down to reveal a path leading to the mountains in the back.
In the cornfield, you will find 3 paths. Choose the middle one.
Look, everything is in color now! We found our sister.
Suddenly Gunhead appears – some kind of monster. We start to fight him, but our father intervenes, killing the creature with lightning. However, we still get money and experience.
The conversation turns to his dead mother. Ganer asks us for forgiveness and says that if he were stronger, she would still be alive. We are given a choice: to answer “That’s not true!” and “That’s right!”
Father asks Yua to return home and Ryu not to stay late.
Then we sleep, dreaming of a scary eye looking out of the darkness. Waking up, we go home.
In the village they stop recognizing us and treat us rudely, claiming that there is no Father Ganer, but Father Hulk. We don’t understand anything and go inside the house, meeting a stranger there. He introduces himself as Father Hulk and claims that we are in the Church of Eva.
We wake up and find a small puppy thief Bosh near us, who offers us a partnership. This is our first partner; with whom we leave the city (we have no choice).
We find ourselves on a world map. A storm begins and the main characters run into a cave.
Now we are in the cave with our new friend.
Suddenly a strange tail appears in the cave. Bosh suggests following it.
It turned out to be the monster Barbara! The Dragon’s Tear turned dark purple, which means that before us is the enemy, who wishes us all the worst.
This isn’t a full-blown boss fight, as Ryu has no way to win. He doesn’t even have time to make a move before Barbara destroys him with one attack.
The monster crawls away and says goodbye to us.
End of prologue
So we have completed the Breath of Fire 2 Walkthrough prologue.
