ToggleMonkey Madness 2: don’t take my bananas
Hello, dear friend. If you are interested in this article, then it is very unlikely that you are a buzzer. Most likely, you are an old man who decided to reminisce about the warm and glorious times. I think, Grandpa, you should remember what OSRS is and what its thinking is about.
OSRS (stands for Old School RuneScape) is a sandbox game that takes place in the world of Gielinor. There is no single common story here, but you are free here, like a bird in the sky. Do you like gnomes and elves? Some storylines and tasks are based on their history. You can pump yourself up as much as possible and get the maximum cloak, or you can be more passive and not train in combat.
If you are afraid of complex quests, then Monkey Madness 2 is not for you. Here, as in all strategic and intellectual games, don’t expect any indulgences or easy ways. You either think about your head, or there is no point in even starting the game. But it is never a shame not to know something, it is a shame not to strive for knowledge. That’s why I’ve developed a Monkey Madness 2 OSRS guide, especially for you, in which you’ll figure it out and learn how to boldly enter those quests that you spent days on end working on 11 years ago. Let’s get started!
Monkey Madness 2: Requirements
So, my little pie friend, where are you going? Do you think you have a ticket for this quest? And you don’t need to do anything to get there? Naive, this is not a store near your home, where they are always waiting for you (or rather, your money). Unfortunately, (or fortunately), to get to this quest, you need to try hard. So, what do they require of us?
First, you need to complete a huge number of quests (stop, don’t leave, don’t give up, please). Of course, you should finish “Monkey Madness 1”, as well as “Death Plateau”, “Watchtower”, “Eyes of Glowfree”, “Village of the Tree Gnomes”, “Dedicated Journey”, “Troll Fortress” and, finally, “Recipe for Disaster (namely, the release of King Avogei)”. The path is not easy; I can’t help but agree. But we are not going to give up, are we? We are strong.
Secondly, in addition to the endless amount of quests (just kidding, there aren’t that many. No, seriously), you need to be imba. You need to level up your skills. What do you need for that?
- “Firemaking 60” (you are Homo Sapiens after all).
- “Thieving” 55 (give me back my bananas!).
- “Crafting 70” (smells like a Neolithic revolution).
- “Agility 55” (if you get 100, you’ll be Peter Parker. Just kidding. Who knows…).
- “Hunter 60” (no comment).
- “Slayer 69” (don’t touch my soul).
If you don’t want to completely lose face, it will be very useful for you to have a high combat level. So, how are the requirements, impressive?
Glough Kill Guide: It’s Not as Scary as It Seems
I have prepared a special guide in “Monkey Madness 2” for OSRS that will help you destroy the main boss.
Glough is our final antagonist, for whom we spent many hours going through the quest. Now you have met him face to face. Show him all your fury, avenge the wasted unequal cells and time. You deserve a triumphant victory.
Preparing for the fight with Glough
The final boss fight is never easy, especially when it comes to Monkey Madness 2. Before you show off, prepare yourself and take your time. Make sure you have all the supplies and the necessary weapons. To defeat Glough, you will need prayer potions, food (of course), and, obviously, weapons and armor. Don’t be too cocky: take an emergency teleporter with you.
And a little more advice before the fight with Glough
I warn you again, that the fight can be tough even for the most experienced player, so I recommend returning to the bank and replenishing your supplies beforehand.
Keep in mind that you will be fighting in an instanced area, so your unprotected items will be transferred to a grave outside the instance (in case of death). And those items that you leave on the ground will disappear.
You will fight the boss in three different rooms. I warn you: Glough has already turned into an abomination, having drunk his mutagen, and killed Nieve by throwing him against the wall.
First room – Glough’s first attempt
Watch out – Glough is starting to attack!
True, he attacks with melee. If you don’t want to die, go into the corridor and start killing Glough with magic or ranged combat. When the boss’s health drops to 75%, he moves to the second room.
Second room – Glough is furious
Here, Glough is angry: not only has he started using ranged attacks, but in addition to this, he attacks and stomps on the ground, inflicting up to 30+ damage on us. But don’t be afraid, because the boss can also be attacked. To do this, use a weapon with an attack range of 10 cells (for example, a dark bow). To carry out the attack, lure him one cell to the east of the first black rock on the southern wall. When Glough moves, stand exactly one cell outside his attack range.
Tip: Activate Missile Defense to slightly reduce his damage.
When Glough loses exactly half of his HP, he will enter the final third room.
The third room is the final step to defeating Glough
The boss senses his impending demise, so he attacks with melee and uses magic attacks. Melee is dangerous: it can take up to 66 HP from you, thereby increasing the chance of dying of it.
Tip: Make sure that your health does not fall below 80.
It does not hurt to use melee protection if you are using melee equipment to attack the boss.
Glough can teleport you if you are not standing near him or if he takes damage. Use Recoil Rings.
Glough has an attack range of 11 cells, and an aggro range of 14-18 cells.
Set up quick prayers for Magic Protection Eagle Eye or Rigour.
Let’s begin the path to victory! Turn on quick prayers and attack Glough. He is not a simpleton either, so he teleports you to himself. If you need to save the prayer, turn it off in the middle of the “flight” to the boss. Now your task is to run back 11 cells. To cancel Glough’s aggression, run continuously between the corridor and the previous room. Run from the square north of the rocks. You should get the hang of it. Use a quick prayer as soon as Glough deals you large-scale damage over 60 HP or teleports you to himself. This way you will kill Glough very slowly, but it will be safe. If you use magic, then use the spell from the spell book. Advice: do not use auto-cast, as it has a 1-tick delay.
The second way is to use a blowpipe. This way you can hit Glough 2 times and then eat. After that, the boss will teleport you back to himself using magic. This combat tactic will help you not to worry about your health, while constantly attacking your opponent.
If your HP level is high enough, you can use a weapon that deals a lot of damage instead of food, for example, a dark bow. Remember that if you and Glough die at the same time, the whole battle starts over.
