ToggleBest Armor in Fallout 4: Prepare for Battle
No shooter can do without strong armor that protects against crowds of enemies or monsters. This also applies to Fallout 4. The game has 2 types of power armor: sets or individual legendary parts. Today we will look at the best armor in Fallout 4, which will be useful for survival in the harsh conditions of the Wasteland.
Power Armor X-01
This is considered the best armor in Fallout 4. It can be found in several places.
Level up to at least level 28, as this will significantly increase the chance of getting all the parts. Even better – wait until level 30 to be sure to survive future encounters.
The first partial set of X-01 is in the Glowing Sea (southwest of the map). You can get to the armor through a hatch in the Abandoned Shack on the western border. There will be a bunch of Synths there. If you are friends with the Institute, they will ignore you. Otherwise, you will have to fight. The Power Armor is on the lower floor, under the stairs. Unfortunately, the set is missing the left arm and right leg.
The second set of X-01 is near the Customs Tower (on the coast east of Diamond City). Look for the Courthouse #35, southwest of the marker. Go inside and use the elevator to get to the roof. You will be attacked by several robots – after defeating them, enter the hidden rooms from which they came. In each room, you need to press the red buttons that open a glass cell with armor.
The third X-01 kit is located in the National Guard Training Area armory, behind the main building. To enter, you need to pick the complex lock of the door or hack the complex terminal in the main building. Inside, beware of the traps – hitting them will activate the giant security robot of the Annihilator Mark II, which will meet you at the entrance to the armory.
Between Nordhagen Beach and Fort Strong, there is a small barracks. You will find the armor inside – there are no guards, you can just go inside and take it.
A full set can be found at the South Boston Military Checkpoint, southeast of Diamond City. Go to the back of the building and you will see a cage with armor. Hack the complex terminal to get inside.
A full set of X-01 armor without any upgrades provides 1220 physical resistance, 1050 radiation resistance, and energy resistance. A fully upgraded set of X-01 armor provides 1820 physical resistance, 1050 radiation resistance, and 1390 energy resistance.
Marine Corps Armor
To pass difficult locations in Fallout 4, you need high-quality and powerful armor.
To obtain Marine Corps Armor, you need the Far Harbor add-on. The full set is considered one of the most effective armors in Fallout 4, given the weight/protection ratio.
You can get the armor by completing the main Far Harbor quest “Better Not to Remember”, which is given by DiMA in the Core. At the very end, when you decipher all five of DiMA’s memory records and give them to him, he will drop the coordinates of the Marine Corps assault armor (the search task will appear in the “Miscellaneous” section).
Move to the point, destroy a whole squad of mutants, and find the armor in barrels. After that, you can upgrade the armor to your taste.
T-60 “Tesla”
To get one of the best armors in Fallout 4, you need to try hard. To do this, you need to go far enough along the storyline of the Automatron add-on. During the “Headhunter” quest, you get to the satellite antenna of the Fort Hagen base and meet Ivy there – the leader of the “Rusty Devils” gang, from whom the T-60 “Tesla” will drop.
This is an incomplete set, but it only includes three elements of power armor—two arms and a body. However, it is worth noting that each element of the T-60 “Tesla” increases your energy damage by 5%, i.e., by 15% in total.
Enemies attacking in close combat receive quite noticeable damage from electricity – even at high levels, a weak enemy can fall dead after just 1 hit on a character in such armor.
Quantum X-01
A legendary set, one of the best power armors in Fallout 4. This is the same X-01, which is the most powerful power armor in the game, but with a unique and permanent paint job, in which your action points are restored more than 2 times faster.
Getting Quantum X-01 is quite difficult. You will have to collect all the star cores in Nuka-World. There are 35 of them in total, 30 of which are in the galaxy itself, and the remaining 5 are in other sectors of Nuka-World. You will not get a one-star core without turning on the electricity. To do this, you need to complete the entire Nuka-World campaign.
Yes, it is quite difficult, but Quantum X-01 is clearly worth it because thanks to its unique legendary property it helps the owner quickly restore action points. This is the best-looking armor in Fallout 4.
